SITHGAM006A – Provide responsible gambling services

This course is a pre-requisite for staff who work in gaming machine areas or gaming related functions in hotels, clubs and gaming venues.  RCG training undertaken interstate is not recognised in NSW.  Any staff working in gaming areas must complete an approved Responsible Conduct of Gambling course before commencing employment in that area.

Course Content:

• The law and legislation in NSW as it applies to gambling
• Responsible and ethical promotion of gambling
• Responsible gambling strategies and safe environments for patrons.
• You also learn how to communicate and deal tactfully with patrons and about counselling and support services for patrons considered "at risk" should it be required.

Assessment:

At the end of the course you are required to successfully complete a written assessment

Outcome:

On successful completion, participants receive

• Statement of Attainment in “Responsible Conduct of Gambling  SITHGAM006A
• Casino Liquor and Gaming Control Authority (CLGCA) RCG  Certificate
