To work in hospitality and serve alcohol in a hotel, café, restaurant or bottle shop you will need to complete this course.

The RSA is a one day course for people wishing to gain employment in licensed premises throughout NSW.  This is necessary to be compliant with the current legislation pertaining to the Service of Alcohol administered by the Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority of NSW.

Upon successful completion of this course, you receive an accredited "Responsible Service of Alcohol" certificate authorised by the Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority.

Course Content:

  • Legal responsibilities surrounding the service of alcohol which includes defining a standard drink and understanding the strengths of various types of drinks
  • Recognising the levels of intoxication of customers
  • Taking action to control alcohol consumption by intoxicated customers
  • How to recognise minors and prevent underage drinking
  • Techniques for the control of intoxicated and potentially violent customers.

Assessment:

At the end of the course you are required to successfully complete a written assessment 

Outcome :

On successful completion, participants receive

  • Statement of Attainment in “Responsible Service of Alcohol SITHFAB009A”
  • Casino Liquor and Gaming Control Authority (CLGCA) RSA Certificate
